Middle School Ages:
This course is an opportunity to give your growing thespian a chance to enhance and grow as a performer. Through this class they will gain confidence in not only their performance, but also themselves. This class will prepare students for their upcoming endeavors with high school theatre. They should gain a toolbox of information that they can use to create characters, in scene work, auditioning, and so much more. This is a learning experience for your child to get comfortable with all aspects of theatre and finding out where their passion lies. The instructor will be meeting your child where they are at in their theatre journey. If that is tons and tons of experience or none at all, ALL IS WELCOME! Please feel free to reach out with any questions.

Hi All! My name is Emily Herman and I am going to be your instructor for these classes. I just graduated with my BFA in Theatre at Michigan State University. I had a minor in musical theatre and a focus in educational and children’s theatre. I have taught in a variety of theaters including MTC! I was a teaching artist intern at Seattle Children's Theater, and I currently work with OpenSpot Theatre. I am so excited to share my love of theatre and teaching with your students. If you have any questions about me or the class, please feel free to reach out at
